Monday Club stepped into its penultimate week, and things are really starting to take shape. This time, the focus was on writing verses, giving everyone the space to step up, experiment, and start carving out their place on the track.
One thing that stood out straight away was the strong female presence on this one. The variety of artists coming through the doors at 9 Rhiw Road continues to inspire us every week, different styles, different voices, all blending into something bigger.
The vibe matched the instrumental perfectly, melodic and soulful energy across the board, sitting nicely on top of that jazzy foundation we’ve been building. Everyone had their moment to try something new, test ideas, and find a sound that feels true to them. Some parts are already hitting, others will be refined next week or soon after, we’re keeping it open and letting the process breathe.
And there’s a reason it’s still a bit up in the air. This coming Monday, we’ve got something special lined up. Liverpool soul singer PaisleighB will be joining us as a guest speaker, sharing knowledge, experience, and hopefully adding something to the track itself.
