This past Saturday, UAM was back at Ink Gallery bringing Organised Chaos through to shell some bars, and once again, it delivered. It’s always a pleasure performing in that space, the vibes are right every time and the energy never misses.
The lineup was stacked with UAM mainstays Verbal K, M. Yesekaon, A_Gent Orange and SHANEO, all coming through and doing what they do best. Alongside them, we had first-time mic droppers Breadline and Stacey, stepping up and making their mark. That’s what it’s about, giving people the space to try, to perform, and to be heard.
We also had some special guests in the mix, with Jjjambo, Indie and Aminah Ruth jumping in across sets and the cypher at the end, adding even more flavour to the night.
That final cypher always brings something different. New voices, different styles, people finding their moment and running with it. It’s always good to see fresh faces really tap into what UAM is about and how we move, open, supportive, and built around the music first.
Big respect to Ink Gallery for holding it down for the Bay once again. Big love to every performer, especially those who travelled to be there, and big shouts to the crowd for showing up and listening properly. That matters more than people think.
On to the next.
