This week was a busy one at our U18s.
We started off with one of our artists adding their own flare to the track they’ve been working on for a while. It has a very Nordic folk kind of vibe, with subtle hints of rock here and there. The perfect track for a Viking historical fantasy!
Then another artist made a beat to go alongside the new bars they’ve been working on, and I for one can’t wait to see what happens next with this track, because so far, it’s sick.
Toward the end of the session, we tried something a bit different. One of our artists, though passionate about music, is very shy. So we had another artist sing with them, in the hope that it would help them feel more comfortable. Ultimately, although they had a laugh, it didn’t work. Fingers crossed, soon they will feel less nervous.
Everyone is on their own timeline, but an important thing to remember is that sometimes regret is larger than fear. So maybe we should try and push ourselves every once in a while. Keep that in mind.
We’ll keep showing up, supporting each other, and taking those steps together.
Stay tuned for next week. And remember, you’re always welcome here.
