On the 27th of May, we packed up and headed over to Caernarfon with a crew from our Artist Development Programme for an Anthem Showcase.
Indigo, Shaneo, Armand and Jovi all stepped up to represent, bringing their own styles, sounds and energy to the stage. Days like this are a big part of what the programme is about. Not just making music in the studio, but getting out there and putting it in front of people.
There’s only so much you can learn from rehearsals. At some point you've got to get on stage, feel the nerves, work the crowd, figure out what lands and what you'd do differently next time. That experience is worth its weight in gold.
The showcase also gave everyone a chance to connect with other artists, organisers and people involved in the wider music scene. Those conversations can end up being just as valuable as the performance itself. A lot of opportunities start with simply being in the room.
All in all, it was a proper good day. Plenty of lessons, plenty of encouragement, and another reminder that there's some serious talent coming through on the North Wales coast.
We're always looking to get artists out performing when they're ready. Every show builds confidence, sharpens the craft and makes the next one feel that little bit easier.
On to the next one. 🎤🚐✨
