Welcome to UAM, Typ0.
Some connections in music don't start in a studio.
They start years earlier, in different cities, different rooms and different stages, before eventually finding their way back together.
That's the story behind our latest addition to the UAM family.
Typ0 is officially part of the UAM Collective.
Originally from North Wales, Typ0 has recently moved back to the region after spending time away, bringing with him years of experience and connections from the music scene.
Typ0 and Verbal K go back to their time in Manchester, where they first crossed paths through music and built a relationship within the scene. Years later, that connection has found its way back to North Wales and into Underground Artist Movement.
And this isn't simply about putting a name on a roster.
Typ0 has already stepped into UAM Studios, signed the wall, and started getting involved with what we're building here — collaborating on UAM Collective tracks, working alongside our artists and getting involved with UAM workshops.
That's exactly what we want the Collective to be.
A space where artists don't just exist alongside each other, but create with each other.
The UAM network has always been bigger than the people directly involved in the organisation. Over time, we've been fortunate to build relationships with artists and mentors from different parts of the scene, and Typ0's journey has already crossed paths with some familiar names.
Through the Manchester scene, there are connections with people such as Blakk Ice and Caveman, both of whom have also played important roles within the wider UAM network and mentor family.
Now those connections are coming together in a different environment.
From North Wales to Manchester and back again.
From artist to collaborator, mentor and practitioner.
From knowing each other through the music scene to building something together through UAM.
We're excited to see where it goes.
Because the UAM Collective isn't about where you've been.
It's about what we can create together now.
